About PunchPad

PunchPad is a no-fluff punch list app built specifically for builders, superintendents, and GCs who want to finish strong on every job.

We know the chaos that comes with closing out a project — unclear punch lists, scattered text threads, and subs who “didn’t see the message.” PunchPad solves that.

This app was created by a builder, for builders — designed to work the way the field actually works.

Built by a Home Builder

I’m Joe Wood — a custom home builder in the Greater Kansas City area and owner of JW Build, where we specialize in high-end custom homes. I built PunchPad to solve the punch list problem I kept running into on my own jobsites.

I run my company using tools like Buildertrend and CoConstruct. They’re great for managing the big picture — budgets, schedules, selections — but when it came to punch lists, they always felt like an afterthought.

I was tired of trying to manage punch items in my phone’s Notes app or fiddling with a spreadsheet on my iPad out on the jobsite. Nothing was fast, clear, or built for how we actually work in the field.

I don’t think punch lists should be something you scramble to pull together at the end of a job. They should be used from day one — and be a living record of what needs follow-up, touch-up, or correction as the project moves forward.

That’s why I built PunchPad. Not to replace what’s already working — but to solve one problem better than anything else out there.

Who It’s For

PunchPad is built for:

  • Custom home builders

  • General contractors

  • Site superintendents

  • Project managers

  • Remodeling crews

  • Small-to-mid-sized construction teams

If you’re managing trades in the field, PunchPad is for you.

Fast & simple. No training required. Add items, tag a sub, move on.

Shareable reports. Generate clean, mobile-friendly punch list reports in one click.

No logins for subs. Just send a link — they’ll only see what’s assigned to them.

No bloat. PunchPad isn’t trying to do everything. It’s just trying to do punch lists really well.

What Makes It Different

Our Mission

We want to make the punch list process as efficient and clear as possible — so you can hand over a clean job, get paid faster, and move on to the next build.
